Yes we were trying, and it happend on the first try. Seriously. Just call me Fertile Myrtle.
Right now, I'm basically "seasick"- crazy nauseaous but not really throwing up... and TIRED. So, so tired.
Additionally, I have the weirdest food cravingings. Not that the food is weird, it's just a lot of food I MUST HAVE IMMEDIATELY. For example, the other day after I'd gotten home from work, I NEEDED grilled cheese. But not just any grilled cheese sandwhich- I needed DELI American Cheese (mind you, I don't really EAT American Cheese) on TEXAS TOAST or ITALIAN BREAD. Either was fine, it just had to be thick, white, bad-for-you bread (and, of course, I never eat that either).
Also, I will want something so bad for a couple days (peanut butter was a culprit recently), and then a few days later, the sight of it makes me want to vomit profusely and violently.
And the cravings will change without notice- I went to lunch with my friend Mandy and as we were deciding the night before where to go, I HAD to have California Pizza Kitchen. I woke up the next morning and just the thought of the letters "CPK" sent me into comic-like convulsions.
Entertaining at best, but none the less I am GRATEFUL because these symptoms mean I AM PREGNANT. So for now, I'll take 'em.
Please enjoy a pic from my first ultrasound, when they were checking to make sure there was only one in there... apparenty my HCG levels were tripple what they 'should' have been, so my Doc wanted to verify.
Yes, it's a dot. But I can tell you this much- I've never loved a little dot with so much passion and emotion as I do this one. :)

Anna, I am so excited for you guys! Your post was so funny:) My big craving was Mexican. Everything had to have salsa! I think I've only eaten Mexican once since I had Adelyn. It's so funny how you crave different food. Good luck and enjoy that baby bump that will be coming:) I loved having a baby bump:) haha! I know you've heard people say it, but there is truly nothing that compares to being a mom! It's unbelievable how much you love your little one:) Congrats again!

Congrats! You are in for the ride of your life. Don't forget about your beautiful dogs when baby comes...I don't think you will.
I am so excited for you both! What an exciting new adventure you guys are on. This little baby is going to be loved and adored like crazy! Craig and I can't wait to be pseudo uncle and aunt!
Omigosh, you sound SO much like my first weeks! Especially with the cravings - wanting one thing one minute and can't standing it the next. Congrats Anna and ben!
And I totally agree with you - I love this nausea and craziness becuase it means that I'm having a healthy pregnancy right now and I thank Jesus!! <3
